Another workout.

Well I just completed another workout after a day at work. Boy can I tell it I am so tired. I did my five minute workout this morning and then a long workout which I just finished. Added ab workout on my conversion table that was even harder. My plan is to continue my workout three days aweek here at home and then in Sept. join the health gym down at the VA. that I work at. All employees just pay $15.00 a year. And they have all of the equipment that I need including a ab machine. A few of the coworkers are really excited for me and told me to stick with it that I would lose the fat and really put on muscles. I told a coworker which also works out a lot the I had a three year goal. He told me that it wouldn't take me but three to six months to start showing some results. I wish there were a way to exercise one time and poof your fat turns into muscles (lol). Any advice will be appreciated.

::waves magic wand:: Darn. I guess this things a dud.
You have a good plan. I also belong to the gym where I work. It costs $65 a year but that could include classes and intramural sports, if I wanted, on top of the fully stocked gym. There's even a perpetual climbing wall!
Only one thing I wanted to point out about your goal. While you're losing weight, you won't really gain muscle. Those two activities are pretty mutually exclusive. What you will be doing is maintaining more of the muscle you already have while losing fat and that's really important. It's actually easier to maintain muscle than to build new muscle and if you're significantly overweight you have extra muscle underneath the fat. When you reach your goal weight that muscle will definitely stand out. You can then decide at that point if you want to put on more muscle but that will involve gaining some weight back while you keep lifting.0 -
calories consumed make a difference too. Great idea to join the gym at work and what a deal!0
