Great job OP! Yeah the socks are used to keep the shins warm and to protect against the bar irritating the shins since at the start of the lift the bar should always be in contact with them. Great for the ladies so they don't scratch up their pretty legs lol.0

Awesome! It's a great feeling to be able to pull more than your bodyweight from the floor.
My shins are bruised from deadlifts and power cleans, and I always wear long tights on those days. I'm not bothered.0 -
