Help! been weighing daily and gained weight

I'm incredibly frustrated. So I've been weighing myself daily which was going well this 1st week. I started at 155 and got down to 152. Then I weighed myself today, which is three weeks into my diet and I weighed 154. What? I know I've been eating less. The only thing I can think is that I'm getting my period this week and have been doing strength training. Also my bowel movements haven't been regular. But does this happen to everyone during weight loss? I just want to see progress because that's helps motivate me but is is SO hard because I feel like I'm going nowhere!

not pooping can mean your body has an extra pound or two stored in your colon. also saltier food can mean your body stores more water. for that matter, eating lots of vegetables like lettuce can make the scale move up till you poop them out again, as they have plenty of weight with few calories. and this stuff happens to everyone, whether they're doing a weight loss program or not.
also if you've been training hard, your muscles may be storing water; it's not uncommon to put on a pound or more for this reason.
btw, i used to put on an extra 2 to 3 pounds right before my period and for the first few days.
if you don't want to drive yourself nuts, either stop weighing daily or learn about the wide variety of things that can make your scale go up while you're losing fat so you don't worry.1 -

The issues are most likely the bolded. I usually see an increase of 2-3 lbs on the scale during my ToM. It usually goes away a day or two after my cycle is finished.
As a sidenote, try not to get caught up on the daily fluctuations of the scale, or you'll drive yourself crazy. Bodyweight is never constant. As long as your weight is trending downward overall, you're in good shape. Good luck!0 -
That's water weight. Just keep going and be patient0

This. Just as an example, I weigh and chart my weight daily. Helps to see that the general trend is downwards.

dude - pick a day every week or every two weeks; say, 0700 every other thursday and weigh then. Call it ThursWeigh if that helps.0

Bowel movements can totally affect it. I weighed this morning at 193. Went to the bathroom and was 192.60
