Does lifting at night keep you up?

Options
Was wondering if going to the gym in the evening (9 PM?) will keep me up all night? Don't want to have sleepless nights due to hitting the gym at night.

Personally, it doesn't affect me at all no matter how late I workout. Just depends on the person.
Never know until you try it and see if it's problematic.

I would say it's not good sleep hygiene to lift so close to your bedtime, since you're leaving only an hour to let your body settle down into bed mode. But who knows, maybe it's enough time for you. Try it for a few weeks and see how it goes.

There is really only one way to find out as everyone is different.

If you are doing heavy lifting, you may have some issues - make sure you stretch very thoroughly before you go to bed no matter what though. Going from lifting to static could possibly lead to issues in the morning.
