How to count carrying shopping

About twice a week I go shopping. I bring the goods home in a backpack and with liquids and cans the pack can get weighty quite quickly

I'm wondering how should you count this type of activity. Taking the longer route it takes me about 20 to 30 minutes from the shops to my home. I go the long route

I would just log it as walking, I don't think the extra weight really adds much to your burn. Especially if your route is 30 minutes long.

There is an exercise entry for "walking, carrying infant or 15-lb load". Perhaps that would work?

I was going to suggest this as well.

I would make it as part of your daily activity. While you only do it twice a week, I feel like it's not purposeful exercise.

About twice a week I walk between work and uni (3 km) or uni and the road where I can catch my bus (2 km). Each time, I wear my backpack full of my uni stuff (clipboard, paper, notes, assignments, etc. etc.). Sometimes I stop and pick up some groceries along the way and my backpack is quite heavy.

    I count it as walking.

I also walk to the beach with my husband (3 km) a few times a week, and walk at lunch anywhere from 1 to 5 km a few times a week. In total I walk about 20 km/week on average. :)

i would count it as walking, or just add it to your activity setting, depending on how much walking you do on the other days?

    I'd do this.
