Hi all,
I've been ill for a few weeks so I wasn't running/lifting. Finally started working again at 100% but went for my first post-flu run today and whoa- it's like I'm at square one.
How long does it take you to get back to normal after this kind of bull?

It does take a bit. Don't push yourself too hard initially or you may find yourself getting sick again. I've had that happen. Easy workouts at first, let your body tell you when it's ready. You'll get there. Sorry you've been under the weather.

For your lifting, I would suggest de-loading so you don't get too sore afterwards. I think the general suggestion is 10%.

Working your way back into your workouts slowly is the best way to go I have found. I am still getting over being unwell so feel your frustration (s). Sorry to hear you have been unwell, it sucks!
