I went on vacation to the beach a week ago. I stayed on or below my 1200 calorie eating plan with NO cheating what so ever!!! I couldn't wait to get home to weigh. Well....I am up a 1/2 pound. WHat am I doing wrong???? I don't get it.

Sodium? Time of the month? 1/2 pound is nothing though!0

Don't get discouraged. I say check your sodium intake also. Eventhough you stayed in your calories, resorts often have highly processed foods, and that can make you retain water. Just drink lots of water and stay with your calorie alloment and exercise!0

You didn't do ANYTHING wrong. The fact that you only gained 1/2 a pound is astounding because the average person going on vacation gains more than that.
I went on vacation and I gained 2 pounds.
Don't get upset over 1/2 a pound. It is most likely water weight, and nothing to fret about. You'll drop that half a pound without having to bat an eyelash.0 -
I always, always lose weight when I'm on vacation. I must be a strange bird, I never go on all inclusive beach vacations, but really, 0.5 pounds is nothing.0

Ya, I agree with the rest of the posts. 1/2 lb. Nothing to worry about.0

Not only sodium, but different water can change your 'elimination' patterns. Bet you will be down below your pre vacation weight before you know it!!0

Maybe you gained muscle Or maybe you weighed yourself at the wrong time of the day?0

I say congrats for going on vacation and not gaining wayyy more than a 1/2 pound!0

its only a half a pound. this is perfectly normal fluctuation...don't stress.0

You need to eat more if you eat below 1200 calories a day. =\0

Thanks everyone...I knew you would make me feel better. It was just a shock to get on the scales and gain!! Sodium could be it...I ate grilled chicken and veggies most of the trip and it's not "that time of the month". A friend suggested I could be holding water from too much sun (and I do have a sunburn) so I'll give it a couple of days and see what happens. Thanks again!!0
