Scale accuracy

Hi everyone, I have an issue with my scale, hoping to get some insight...
I have a digital beurer scale, the glass body analysis one. I know my weight is around 155 (just had a physical at the dr). The first time I step on the scale, it reads 120. I get off, get back on, now it says 170! I do this a couple more times, and each time it gives a wildly different number, no 2 ever the same. The scale has good reviews online, and up until this I never spent so much money on one so I'm a bit disappointed. Open to ideas and suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you need new batteries or return it and get a new one.

ETA: You are weighing on a flat surface? Not a carpeted flooring?

Also someone told me once that if I had mine on a tile floor it might mis-read. Also make sure the batteries are in properly and pushed in all the way.
    Good luck!

replace the battery. Make sure its on a hard/level surface. If it still has issues, return/exchange it. You may have bought a dud. Even good products sometimes have bad units.

The only 2 places in my apartment that are not carpeted are the bathroom (tile floors) and kitchen (vinyl). It is a vintage building, the floors are definitely uneven, but before I step on the scale I do make sure the scale isn't wobbly.
I did buy it a year ago, so it likely is as simple as the batteries! I figured the display wouldn't come on at all if the batteries were dead.

Eventually it will not come on at all. Sounds like batteries.
