Welp good thing I am ugly but it seems the judge was bullied as a kid so she/he is taking it out on the good looking.0

was the person being overtly sexual too or just going about their job?0

I thought it was crazy and now that it keeps getting upheld in higher courts I think it is even crazier. I was sure it would be overturned.
And no SHE was not being overtly sexual. She worked for him for some time and he said that he found her too attractive and that his attraction could cause a problem with his marriage. He even made a comment about tenting pants to her, yet it was OK to fire her ??0 -
Here is the article from yesterday when the Iowa Supreme Court refused to reverse it's earlier decision to uphold that it was OK for him to fire her because he thought she was too attractive.

Oh. Mr. Question. You kidder, you.0

In the United States, you can be fired at any time, with or without cause. Unless you have a contract, or the firing violates certain constitutional protections (anti discrimination laws.)
Physical attractiveness is not a constitutionally protected status. Therefore, if a business owner wants to fire someone for being too pretty or too ugly, well, as the owner of the business, that's their right. It's called "freedom."0 -
Gosh...almost every guy I worked with at one place tried to get in my pants. Glad I didn't get fired for them being out of control... I didn't do anything.0

She is a hottie 10/100

You'd think she'd counter with a sexual harassment charge after reading some of the comments he made.0
-
A disgrace!!0
-
So she's too pretty to work?
Seriously though, what are we talking about?0 -
I've been fired for looking too attractive. I mean look at me. Look at this glorious man mug of mine.0

Exactly I think if he has a right to fire her for this reason, she has the right to counter with a sexual harrassment case. Maybe even some kind of defamation at this point, damage to her reputation? What sort of impact is this having on her ability to get a new job.0 -
I think if that is the only reason then yes it is wrong0

Tosh had this gal on his show and I thought she was a six at best. The crap about interfering with his marriage is crap since his wife had taught her how to make a dinner recipe and they were friends.0

Unfortunately this.
I was fired once for not agreeing with a higher-up's opinions on the Sandy Hook tragedy. (They believed the stupid video that went viral about it all being a fake.)
Yeah. That was a **** job anyway.0 -

Probably could've voiced your opinion without insulting her appearance but good work.0
