By boss, I think she means her bf/husband...
@singingflutelady bacon is cured, not processed.
@traceyidundun I cook my bacon in the microwave in between layers of paper towels. Takes approximately half the fat and calories out. I also buy jimmy dean turkey sausage links at Costco of BJs. When healthy choice stopped making theirs it took me years to find another that tasted good. 3 links for 99 calories. Delicious. I eat either bacon/sausage every day with breakfast. Hasn't caused me not to lose. 6 months down 57 pounds.0 -

Curing is a type of processing, so is butchering and cooking to get technical2 -
If you (can) only eat 2 slices of bacon 2x every week or so, I think you're still eating clean. Field Roast has breakfast link sausages with maple which are amazing, and meatless.
Have you ever considered cooking with bacon? I add couple of slices fried up and then chopped as a garnish to soups, stews and pasta gives you the taste but you aren't eating much of it and the Boss may be sated.0 -

You have a point. I keep chickens and I do, in fact, use the term "processing" for the act of killing, plucking, and gutting - but mostly because it's shorter to say and doesn't make people squeamish right before dinner.0 -
That depends on one's perspective. Probably best to let the OP lead her own life.0 -

Sorry, you're right.

Get a food scale and weigh foods in grams (don't use cups and spoons). Log everything you eat/drink (unless it truly is 0 calories).
You can eat what you like to lose weight as calories are king.
If boss does mean period, I don't let that *kitten* dictate my life. A little chocolate is all it takes to shut her up.2
