Hi I just joined this site after reading another post while I was looking up my progress. I just lost roughly 5 pounds in one week with the new devoted workouts I've been beating myself up over. It seems most these sites just talk about interests and troubles. I'd prefer to talk about what your/I'm doing and what works for you/I and what doesn't so suggestions are always appreciated.
So far after trying ALOT of different methods I ran across a thread that said workout 250+ minutes a week and you will loose wieght alot quicker. So I've done exactly that. So far so good pound after pound. My husband is in great shape he's military and I fell off the wagon after a few (back to back) deaths, stopped smoking, and I just gave up alot of care on my health. Another thing I believe my cortisol levels became unbalanced. I started karate/kickboxing for 6 months of my life and only lost 5 pounds. I've ran and walked 1-5 miles depending on my dedication for about a year. Nothing was working! I'd cry alot from the scales after how hard I'd work but I never truely grasped my diet until a few months ago. As much as I worked out and how hard I worked out I almost want to cry because IF ONLY I knew that I needed a few small changes in my diet I'd probably be alot closer to my goal. Anyways oatmeal is a Godsend I HATE oatmeal even now but the more I hate it the more I eat it. Thats my new diet lol... its so working too

Thanks for reading and keep me up on your most hated/loved food that makes you loose the weight.
~Wieghtloss is a love & hate relationship you'd love to loose the wieght & you hate to gain the diet.~

I think it's wonderful you've decided to make healthy changes, not only to lose weight, but to get youself at a better state.

My husband is an Army veteran so I know how hard it can be when one is fit and the other is, well, fat. My husband and I started as friends, and before I had kids, we used to jog together, go for walks and rollerblade.

Since the birth of our third child and complications with asthma, I'm at the biggest I've ever been.

I have always had those moments of breaking down when I had to go up a size or saw the number on the scale continue their upward trend, but it seems like I finally found my commitment, not just to look good, but to feel good for myself and my family.

I want to be able to play with my kids instead of sitting on the bench.

So congrats to you on this awsome journey and you have found a great site with a great bunch of people!
