I don't really have a back story on what motivated me to begin this weight loss. I just did.
I start trying to lose weight in 2010, work was having a Biggest Loser contest and my boss got me to join. I don't recall exactly, but I believe I was around 220 and dropped almost 20 pounds and was tied in third place in the end. And there my love for exercise began.
By June of 2010, I decided to go back to school and become a nurse of all things. School work and clinicals left no gym time, so of course I blew up again because my diet was horrible.
I rejoined 24 Hr Fitness July 2nd, got a personal trainer and she encouraged me to use MFP. I already had the app on my phone, logging every once in a while, but she got me dedicated to keeping up with what I consume.

And here are some pictures: 235-ish

You look great! Keep up the good work!!

I'm currently in nursing school (going into my last semester), so I fully understand where you are coming from! Between the coursework and clinical rotations there is not much time to do anything!

  • Whatever!!! You really need to do a longer more detailed post. I'm going into the third month and I feel like I'm one pound off, two pounds on some days. You looook so healthy and strong. I would never know it was the same person in both pictures. I hope I can make that happen too.

Awesome job! My husband works at a hospital and he commented that they're seem to be a lot of unhealthy/over weight nurses (and smokers too, go figure)....so congrats on being a healthy great example to your patients!
