Quick snacks/meals to eat while driving?

Hello! Right now I clean houses and offices for work. I leave my house at 7am and don't usually get home until 4 or 5pm so I am cleaning houses for quite a long time. I do not get a break to eat. My "break" is driving from one house to the next which leaves me very little time to eat anything. I just started this job about a week ago and the whole ~not eating basically all morning/afternoon thing~ is really catching up to me.

So, my question is what do you all suggest I bring with me to eat? I have about 5-10 min between houses and I am driving so I feel like my options are really limited. I was thinking some nuts, greek yogurt, and some fruit? But I would like more/ better ideas if anybody has any because that will get boring after a while. I just need fuel because cleaning houses is quite difficult work.

Thanks in advance!

  • Take a cooler and pack string cheese, lunchmeats, yogurts, water. Get the little sandwich baggies and prepack your nuts, sliced fruits, ect in those. Then you just grab them and go.
  • Nut butter and banana sandwiches (no refrigeration required), fruit like apples or berries. If you have a small lunchbag cooler thing you could bring cheese, egg salad sandwiches. Trail mix, dried fruit, protein shakes made with water and a shaker bottle, juice boxes, bottles of water, homemade muffins and other quick breads, dry cereal like cheerios or corn bran, pita chips...
  • I would agree with getting a cooler, it will just give you more options. I find nuts and cheese to be filling, but if you eat either make sure you measure and don't just bring a big bag of nuts. You might over eat your calories if you do. Pretty much anything non-perishable and finger food like is good. If you have a cooler than you can do perishable foods. Another thing you can do is buy one of those soup drinker things, they are like coffee thermoses for soup. Then you could drink it as you drive.
