My own favorite? in the oven with a bit of butter and lemon. Then, right at the end, some parmesan cheese. Return it to the oven until the cheese melts. Simple and yummy.3

Baked with either a paprika- lime blend and topped with pico de gallo or salsa when finished. A maple Dijon rub before baking. Or tilapia ceviche is one of my favorite. Marinade chopped tilapia in lime juice for 20-30 mins and then mix with pico/ avocado/ mango....etc1

Steamed in foil with bak choi, lime rind and juice, ginger and chili's - with a bit of soy or oyster sauce. About 15 minutes if defrosted, about 20 if not.0

On the grill with bacon and onions!0

Make this recipe for tomato zucchini mélange, http://allrecipes.com/recipe/18343/tomato-and-zucchini-melange/ layer tilapia fillets on top of the vegetable mixture in the skillet, then cover and steam the fish for ten minutes or so. Serve over spaghetti squash, brown rice, pasta, whatever fits your eating plan.0

This is fantastic. The sauce tastes so complex, but it's really simple http://www.skinnytaste.com/broiled-tilapia-with-tomato-caper-sauce/

Put in foil parcels with herbs, lemon slices, or pesto and put in the slow cooker for a couple of hours on low.
Or put the parcels in a steamer for 10-15min until the fish just flakes.0 -

Thank you. I was going to be more polite and say: don't eat it.
Talapia is one of the nastiest fish on the planet. It's even worse if they come from China.

Make tilapia all the time!
Couple of them:
Blackened seasoning and done in a frying pan (could use olive oil spray, I don't always)
Dipped in egg and then a breadcrumb mix (panko, garlic powder, pepper, whatever you like) and baked (12-15 min at 400 degrees)
Baked plain 12-15 min, I coat the pan in a little oil to avoid sticking
Top it with pineapple salsa (pineapple, tomato, onion, cilantro), any of them. Sometimes I'll throw them in a flour tortilla (in the name of calories and macros, I use Carb Balance by Mission).

Chinese origin aside, what's wrong with tilapia? Again, no need to discuss the country of origin--I get that part.
We buy ours at Costco, and the bag says it's farm raised in Indonesia. This article http://www.brandpointcontent.com/PrintSite/editor-pick/not-all-tilapia-are-equal-choosing-good-from-bad,22289 names Indonesia as a safe source.

Had this one yesterday http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/smoky-tilapia-tacos. Very yummy! I personally eat a variety of fish, but tilapia is so easy to take out of the freezer and prepare compared to some others that's it's a perfect weekday quick meal choice for me.0

Years and YEARS ago I read a horrendous article (Facebook) stating how nasty talapia was, it's raised to grow big and in bulk so steroids added and so many to one tank that they basically eat nothing but their own feces, no nutrition what so ever. THEN I decided to research because I loved Talapia and found that the original article was on Snopes as FALSE!!!!! There is nothing wrong with it! It's a matter of personal preference1 -
Everyone has an opinion on tilapia. Take any one of these recipes and substitute any fish and I am sure it will be tasty! I personally like flounder with a lemon butter sauce!!0
