Let's support each other!

The short version is, that I gained a lot, lost a lot, gained it back and then some. I've tried diet drinks, low carbs, low calories, very low calories (under my doctor's supervision), and here I am back at my heaviest. Back in 2012, I had a breakthrough, I lost 60lbs, with a lot of support and using My Fitness Pal faithfully and honestly. I kept it off until 2014, then slowly started creeping back, paying attention less, and after 2 years, I'm in trouble.
So here is the plan: 1. Balance. I can't live on salads and low carbs, if nothing else, I'm honestly tired of answering the questions. 2. Using a food journal. This app makes it really really easy. But if I'm at camp, or somewhere that I can't journal my food electronically, I'll write it down. 3. Exercise. My dogs will love me for it and it helps with the sagging skin (I know gross, but it's true!) 4. Good friends and a lot of support. I need you guys!! Let's support each other!

I have done the same thing Jennifer. I have had ups and downs for over 20 years. I am now 67 years old and I don't want to go into my old age (No I don't want think I'm there yet!) with being so overweight! I have high blood pressure and arthritis and losing this weight would help the Dr says. I have lost the same 30 to 40 lbs over and over. I have gained it all back and more. I have been using Fitness Pal for over a year off and on but 5 weeks ago I started logging my food every single day. I also log my water intake. It has now become a habit and I don't feel right if I don't get all the food logged every day. I drink the 8 glasses of water a day they say is needed. I have walked some but not nearly what I should. That is my next goal, to begin walking every day. Do you do any walking or exercise? I did start using 5 lb weights every other day for arm exercises. I've only been doing that for about 3 weeks. I just want to keep from getting weak muscles as I get older. I would like to support you on your journey and I could use the support as well. Hold each other accountable and cheer each other on. Would you like to be friends?1

@barbm04 I'm right there with you! I'm tired of the yoyo! I drink a ton of water and walk just about every day. I'm going to start C25K again after I drop a little bit of weight so my joints can take it a little better. I do a lot of yoga, but not much for strength right now. Let's definitely be friends and cheer each other on!0
