Doing great physically, struggling with emotions.

Hello! First time posting here in the community. So since February I decided to change my mindset and finally get to work on my health and drop a rather large amount of weight. Began eating healthy and getting some exercise sessions in, as of today I've lost 77lbs, still need to drop at least 35 more. In the last month anxiety has taken over me, not really sure why but I've done my best to not stray from my new healthy habits. Managed to keep the good streak going on my weight loss but I am not feeling good emotionally, honestly I feel weak in that aspect. Maybe its a bunch of new emotions I've never dealt with or something like that. Still could use some motivation from anyone really, we are all looking to accomplish something very nice here. Thanks for taking the time to read!

You may want to consider counseling or finding a group for therapy. Some people use food as a coping mechanism, just like others use drugs, alcohol, sex, or even work. When you take that away from some they're left struggling with emotions they may have covered over for years. The result can be falling off the wagon or finding a new crutch. I'm not saying this is the case with you, but just sharing an observation.

Losing a large amount of weight is an overwhelming process (I've lost 147 wtih 5 to goal). I'm not sure what your current emotions are related to, but don't depend on your emotions to keep your habits going. Just keep following your plan, look back at your progress pics, collect positive quotes, and so on. I've kept a journal of all my progress, comments from others, favorite quotes, etc. It's very encouraging to look back through, which I do ofte. If it's more han normal ups and downs, I agree with above poster than perhaps counseling would help you refocus.
