Definitely surround yourself with friends, exercise/work out, and volunteer or get involved in some type of charity work.

My #$% phone cut off the bottom part...A good uplifting book or two and time...sorry...sounds trite, but time will help. Someday you will go a full day without thinking about it, then a few days, then you will realize you have memories and leas pain.

    All the best to you.

Listen to Blackberry Smoke..crank it up and mute your own thoughts (headphones would probably be better for your neighbours). You can find them on Youtube.

    Video games.

Honestly though, in the nicest way possible, constantly talking about him in threads and creating your own on the subject clearly isn't helping. It might help to take the "out of sight, out of mind" approach, despite how hard it is to really do.

First of all, I'm so sorry. Not much can heal heartbreak with the exception of time. My remedies have always been to surround myself with the love of family, lean in hard on those that love you. Spend a LOT of time outside vs staying in and stewing about your current situation. DEFINITELY exercise a bunch. Schedule time with the friends who love you and are supportive. And be easy on you. <3

Rather than missing the relationship, examine and understand it. Honestly see the part you played - the good and the bad. Through doing that, you'll come to a better understanding of yourself and your relationship with others. Happy days are ahead, give it time.

She wanted to be single and now she is and I don't understand why she keeps reminding herself of the breakup by bringing it up here all the time

Well sometimes people have relationships that they have to get out of, and they still love that person; but it is not working. You don't get over a relationship of several years right away. It is painful and you get sad.
