Do you like exercise videos? There some low impact ones where it is easy on the joints and slow enough for you to burn calories. Piyo is a good one.

    Walk early and often.
If you can't walk outside, get an exercise bike or elliptical machine (craiglist, thrift store, garage sales, etc).
Or just step up and down on the 1st step of stairs. Periodically alternate the leg you start with.
Don't worry about lifting weights until you're below 350.
Post an update next month. :+1:

    Walk At home videos.......

These are low impact aerobics without choreography. No choreography means you can go at your own pace. The music may be fast, but you can go at your own speed. I like that I am able to do these on a carpeted surface or exercise mat (a little bit of cushion).

Indoor "walking" is great for rainy or snowy days. They also come on DVD. The newer ones (called Just Walk) will have a music only option......nice if you find the leader too chatty. Usually at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. Your local library may have some too.

Walking is a great way to start...that's how I started. It's low impact which is important when you're heavier.

I was 326 when I started working out, dieting. I started with walking. I'd walk .25 miles for a week or two, then I'd work up .50 miles for a week or two, then 1.00 miles and such. I would cautions against lifting quite yet as that would be a lot of weight on your ankles and knees. If you go to the gym Treadmills and Elliptical are going to be your best friend.

Walking for sure! There's no point in strength training yet. Your focus should be on a negative calorie balance. If you don't do this, it won't matter what type of exercise you do. Good luck!

I started out (and am still) walking. Just walk and time yourself (I use map my run) for one week. The next week try to improve on it. I started out very winded now I can walk/hike 3 miles in under an hour and its been 60 days I still can't believe it.

If the weather is bad walk at the mall.

ETA - its good for the mind too!

Walking is fantastic exercise. Get some good shoes and start slow and build on both pace and distance. Get an app like runtastic to track miles and pace or get a fitbit to monitor progress. I am in a challenge group on fit bit and one member has lost 104 pounds. He has 53,000 steps so far this week.
