If you can do the whole 3 hours, I think you can eat as much as you want:

People that go by this mantra, have NO IDEA about how chemistry works or are just sheep for the whole foods/non processed movement.

So you can pronounce the linked item?
I think his point is it doesn't matter if you can pronounce it or not. Doesn't make it a "bad" food if you can't.0 -

Scientific names are not meant to be used in every day conversation. They are meant to give an exact indication of what molecules it is made of and in exactly what order they are assembled. Nobody is supposed to be able to pronounce them they are not necessarily meant to be pronounced. That's why it also has a common name Titin.5 -

The name of something doesn't have to be long to be a mouthful. Take (2R)-2-[(1S)-1,2-dihydroxyethyl]-3,4-dihydroxy-2H-furan-5-one for example. I'll admit, I prefer a fix of the far more concise 1,3,7-trimethylpurine-2,6-dione with my breakfast.1

I can pronounce "oreo".10

This rule makes me sad. I really like Huitlacoche and Paczki but I can't eat them.
I used to really like Pho, but I'm told I'm saying it wrong, so that's off the menu too.2 -

It's a bit of a mantra that gets trotted out in clean eating conversations. Some people proudly state "If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it", like that's some sort of elevated position to be in. Logically, it's one of the silliest eating rules I've heard.1 -

Even vitamin d has an unpronounceable scientific name!1

Thankfully I am able to pronounce monosodium glutamate and high fructose corn syrup, so I've got LOTS of options. But I can't trill my rr's, so I'm going to have to rethink some Mexican food I've been eating.
Enough people mangle the correct pronunciations of quinoa, acai berry, ricotta, haricot vert - and those are all totally bad for you!4 -
