im thinking of leaving my slimming world group ( I've lost 6lb in 8 months) I've happily gone down a dress size and lost inches. I am thinking of getting some decent scales which can actually measure fat loss etc . I think my slimming world lady is grumpy cos I am not giving her good stats for ther group also.
By the by.,,, I already have a garmin watch and app as I monitor my running - what do people think of the garmin scales or are there more £ friendly scales which also do the same and would also link well with the garmin app?

Personally I have a bluetooth scale and like it, but I give it no attention to the body composition read outs it gives me at all, the read outs are grossly incorrect. I use a garmin running watch and only use that for gauging all of my running.0

I used the Fitbit Aria. It works good enough for me. It syncs to fitbit.com using wifi, then fitbit syncs with MFP.
I think the thing to understand is that the scales just give you a measurement - weight and %bf in the case of the Aria. Neither are likely to be "correct", but rather just a measurement. Use the scale to measure your trends and don't necessarily worry about the number it is showing. All you really care about is are you losing, maintaining, or gaining, so the actual number is irrelevant.
That said, pick a scale you like, and only use that one particular scale, at the same time of day, under the same conditions and I think you will do fine with about any product out there. I weigh daily, in the morning, before I eat/drink, but after I shower and brush my teeth - it is the last thing I do before I put on clothes. Sticking with a routine makes the measurement data much better.1
