100 Push up challenge help

So for the past few weeks I'm attempting this. I do well until the fourth week. Even doing the first column, I still can't manage to do more than 23 push-ups consecutively. I've redone week 3 and 4 a few times because of this plateau.
I do other arm and chest exercises and have improved strength with those by including the push-up challenge into my regular regimen but I can't seem to defeat this hump. I find myself dropping my knees to the floor to complete the bare minimum they recommend for the last set. I'm never sore beyond belief during the day or the next day so I figure I can push myself harder but I buckle
Any suggestions to how I can improve this? My core is pretty solid but at this point I'll try anything.

I find that I'm never sure if I'm even doing the right form on push-ups. Some days they feel easy and others I struggle through them.
I need to try this challenge though. How do you join?0 -

It's hard to assess why you area having problems. Could be your form, could be your workout schedule is such that you aren't doing them fresh. Also being sore really isn't much an indicator of anything. You don't have to be sore.0
