Is the fitbit charge hr water proof?

I'm going swimming tomorrow and wanted to see how many calories I burn. Does anyone know if it's waterproof?

it's not water proof for swimming. i've accidentally showered with it, and sweat is obviously going to end up on the inside, but as far as their website it states that it isn't. i think the main issue is the battery charge port doesn't have a cover and is susceptible to water damage.

No, it's resistant. So ok in the rain, but not purposeful submersion.
