Alcohol?

Do you have a glass of wine or drink daily while in weight loss mode?
Does it slow down/sabotage the weight loss in any way? This of course assumes it is tracked along with everything else and still falls in your daily allotment...

As long as it is tracked, you can drink it! Ensure that it fits into your day...try pre-logging. I honestly rarely track alcohol. I just do extra cardio or go heavier than usual the day after drinking.3

I drank just about every day while I was losing weight. I found that as long as I was in a deficit, I was losing weight.2

you can binge drink safely0

I drink beer regularly. Not necessarily every day, but I drank about the same amount when I was in weight loss mode as I do any other time. If you fit it into your calorie goal then it is fine.1

I don't as I know I won't just stick to a couple of drinks (doesn't feel worth it to me too for the amount of calories) plus I know I get a big appetite when I drink alcohol and will just think sod it and stuff my face and really regret it the next day or two.1 -
One or two beers or glasses of wine (or shots of alcohol) are probably okay if they fit into your calorie goals. Just realize you are giving up potentially more nutritious options for those 'empty' calories. However, with that said, I find I can have a glass or two a day and still lose. Does it slow down my loss? Hard to say, since I typically have something alcoholic in my daily diary and don't know if I'd be losing faster without it. I will say it is motivation for me to be more active to try to counterbalance the calories consumed.
If drinking any alcohol leads to other issues / poor choices, like binge drinking or overeating, then I'd say you might want to consider going without while losing or restricting yourself to certain days to drink (like the weekend) and make it up the rest of the week. You have to find what works for you. I try to be as non-restrictive to myself as possible, but I've found just counting the calories and macros has lead to making better decisions about what to consume without imposing strict restrictions on my diet.2 -
I have cut down a lot but last night I had 2 drinks & that is why I was over on my calories. Still in deficit but over my 1200 a day allotment.
Since I have been doing this there have been weekends when I indulged just like old times. The overeating which for me is grazing -- mindless chips, a bite of this, etc. -- plus the booze adds up to 2,000+ calories.0 -
Yeah, I have "implemented" a Tito's and soda into my nightly "routine" and I prefer to not give it up... ;-)
And, yes, it definitely does tend to make me want to eat more and sometimes more than one would be nice...
