Reiki Meditation and yoga?

Hello. I'm new to this app and forum. Was curious if anyone else has tried reikihealing meditation along with yoga strength training? I just started Reiki 3weeks ago and yoga strength training. Any tips on incorporating arms strength training for these flabby arms?

    chataranga will help with arms, sun salutations too.

    I am a Reiki II healer and with meditation you can set your intentions. But ultimately, you will have to do body movement to work that area. I would suggest adding weights to your routine for more effective results. Reverse plank, crow pose, and table top will help in that area in addition to the above mentioned.

    Reverse table top is good for back of arms. In addition to practicing yoga, I do a FitnessBlender cardio 3x week plus 3 body resistance workouts to tone my body.

    Reiki only exists on a placebo basis. No science journals will endorse Reiki as a way to heal the body.

    Yes I've just started chataranga practices and WOW.... My arms were a little wobbly with this morning's yoga. Thanks for responding.

    I did incorporate table top with chataranga for this morning's yoga and I'm feeling the burn lol. And I'm just barley learning about Reiki from my cousin who is about to become a lvl 3 Reiki Healer. So it's nice to find other healers out there.

    Reiki is pseudoscience not backed up by any reputable study. It functions as a placebo, and can certainly help no more than other forms of intention setting or meditation.

    As far as yoga, yoga will greatly help with your arms, posture, general strength, and your mind. You might consider doing sun salutations in the morning, trying to add more over time. Yoga classes are more beneficial than home practice, simply because you'll have someone who (hopefully) knows what they're doing correct your alignment and make sure you don't hurt yourself.

    Also about Reiki.... what would you say about God, prayer, angels, Gaurdian angels, and archangels. It's not backed up by science either. But I believe in all of it. Just cause science doesn't back it up, doesn't mean it's bad or wrong, right? Like I always say, if you can pray or meditate, if it makes you feel better about yourself and if your believe it. Then what's the harm. :)

    Nope. And there is no science to prove existence or non existence of a god. But I'll go by history. Mythology used to be a religion, yet now the belief is that mythology is just that...........mythology. I see no difference in any religious book now, just an exchange of how they view their god and what "rules" there are to obey. FAITH is what people having people believing in higher beings. I'm Atheist because there's been scientific explanations for many "miracles" from the past and current present and that no spiritual entity had anything to do with it. I DO believe that we aren't the only living entities in the universe.

    From what I understand it's a lot like prayer and BELIEVING that you can heal through meditation. It's not a bad thing. But some ppl think it's a bunch of hoopla

    I'm with you on one thing, this is a large universe and it would be awful if it was a waste of space. But I do understand you. Once upon a time I didn't believe in anything, till I had some life changing events occur which led me to believe there is something higher than us. Whether God, Buddha, lama, aliens....

    There is no harm, but there is no help either; god(dess)(es)(s), prayer, angels, guardian angels, a flying spaghetti monster, have a pretty low (non-existant) track record with improving the health of anyone.

    If you want to improve your health, science backed by the rigors of peer-review is the best method.
