How to count marinade?

Question for all....I'm making a recipe tonight that has a marinade. I've created a new recipe for the marinade which has the total calories. Most of the marinade won't be absorbed by the chicken but some will. How would you count the calories for this?

Personally I would just guess the percentage of the marinade I used like 25% or something. But a more accurate way would be to weigh the marinade before you add the chicken and then again after you remove and you'll know exactly how much was used.0

When I do it, I count all of it as part of the recipe, knowing that I overestimate, but I'd rather overestimate. It cooks down (to less volume) so it's otherwise difficult.0
