I know this isn't really on topic, but -

I wanted to say that you are so cool to be 82 years old and doing this. I keep hearing that one of the reasons why some people age well is because they stay active.

This helps confirm that and makes me want to stay active!

  • You are quite an inspiration. I think there need to be more people like you on here. I know there is a silver sneakers group at our gym that is all 55+ and they are mostly in the 70+ range. It is awesome to see them active and on man in particular comes in with his walker, then starts using weight equipment, swimming, doing cardio classes, etc! I think part of the problem is some older people are still technophobes - they are either nervous about learning to use the technology - smartphones, laptops, ipads, e-readers, or they use them minimally, and so won't use a fitness application, thinking that they are not in need of it or are too old for it. I'm sure there are some others, they just may be busy and hard to find. There are people on here from teens to your age, and from all over the world. I like that this forum gives us a place to visit, compare goals, and styles of diet, fitness plans, exercise regimens and personalize everything for ourselves. I like myfitnesspal!
