Is anyone tracking their steps through the pacer app on mfp?

I have been using it for 3 days and am wondering if the step count is reliable, and should I be eating back the calorie adjustment?

Yesterday I had over 16,000 steps and they gave me 427 calories?

I'm female 5'3 weight 145 lbs

What do you have your MFP activity level set at? Because the way a FitBit works is it compares your actual activity against your stated fitness level.

Try bumping up your activity level in MFP to "active" - see how many more calories that gives you.

Thank you, I have it set to lightly active.
I will set it to active because I'm not sure of eating the extra calorie adjustment just for steps.

You don't even carry your phone 100% of the time. I usually accumulate about 2000 to 2500 steps LESS on PACER than I do on Fitbit, and I am using Fitbit counts when I discuss things below!

Sedentary is BMR x 1.25 Positive adjustments from sedentary start at about 3500 steps.
Lightly active is BMR x 1.4 Positive adjustments from lightly active start at about 7500 steps
Active is BMR x 1.6. Positive adjustment from active start at about 10000 steps
Very active is BMR x 1.8. Positive adjustments from very active start at about 13500
(for me, personally, positive adjustments from "very active" start at about 15,500 steps)

I see what you wrote above about setting to "lightly active" and the short answer is that if you regularly hit 16000 steps you should be set to "very active" and you should not, of course, then add as a separate exercise activity anything that is already included in the 16000 steps.

When my pacer calculates, the step count is usually higher than my fitbit. If I have pacer calculate using my phones step tracking, it's less. Calories are pretty equal, when you take in to consideration I don't always have my phone
    on me.
