Hi guys after losing weight I realise that I am starting to binge eat twice a week. I really don't know what to do to overcome this binge eating problem as I am really scared that I will eat back all the weight I lost like in the past. It's like my body just doesn't wanna accept this new weight of mine. Feeling really depressed and sad and helpless. I tried going vegetarian and IF but still binge eating twice a week??? I still have weight to lose as I am considered at the higher end of the BMI according to the Asian BMI calculator. If I gain 1 more kg I will be overweight!!!!!!

And guys should I continue to diet or just go into maintenance phase which I'm actually doing now but still bingeing. If I keep this up I will definitely gain back all my weight.0

This is what happened to me: I lost weight, got fitter and stronger than I ever thought possible. Then I started to eat more and do less until all the good work was undone. And now I'm starting again. I don't know if you're like me in anyway, but if you are here's the letter to my former self I wish I had had "Well done, you have done amazing- smashing records all over the place. Never thought you woud get there but you did. Hmm now lets set this up as the new normal. You could be better, stronger, fitter. Ok so it's easy now to take a month off -but it's actually just as easy to keep on going. What's your next goal? Challenge? Hey shall we aim to show off those abs which are starting to appear? Seriously this is the new you and trust me you love it so much more than where you were or where you might be next year. Hang on why are you still reading this? Get out there and run!"1

The post says after loosing weight you now realize that you are binging twice a week, then later is says you are in maintenance, but asking if you should continue to diet which I assume is go back on a calorie deficit and loose more weight?
First and foremost, what is your GOAL? To maintain your current weight? Loose more weight? Until you know what that goal is, certainly cannot advise on this. However you need to decide what is causing the binges such as are there triggers or added stress that is causing you to not stick to XX goal you have right now?
Now the words you use in your OP, feeling depressed, sad helpless are signs that something is out of balance, just know that once you know what is causing this, you can defeat it and set new goals.0 -

Thank you so much for your reply!! I know what you mean I am still exercising everyday despite myself eating badly and I really hope history won't repeat itself again by myself gaining back all the weight. Congrats on getting back on the weight loss wagon!! We can support each other if you don't mind. Binges are really scary and I hope I can overcome it0 -

My goal have always been to lose weight but it's just that recently I started binge eating and I thought it may be because of myself undereating and over exercising for too long so I decided to go into maintenance to see if the binges stop which obviously didn't work as I'm still bingeing. That is why I'm lost right now I'm just afraid that if I go back to diet mode I will binge more and gain more weight. I think I'm stuck in a binge and restrict cycle which is the main reason for my binges and also stress eating. really hope to lose weight0 -

This sounds a bit more serious than I understood it. You described a long term battle with under-eating and over exercising and now bingeing that has gotten out of control.
Have you considered perhaps talking to a professional? You are very concerned and obviously are looking for an answer on how to stop. I would look for answers first at what is causing the stress, work on this one day at time or perhaps this can be something that is bigger than you can handle on your own.

Great that you relize that you are eating more at the moment. Do you know that 90% of the people who loose weight can't keep the weight off? Mainly because there will be a day they just quit with what they where doing and dont think about it anymore. You are not in that 90%! You see whats happening and are thinking about what to do! Dieting for a long time is really hard, maybe you can take a break from it and allow yourself to eat more. You might know what the food habbit choices are that you should avoid and If you do that 5 out of 7 days in the week its already super good.

I've lost over 100 lbs and still going. I've binge ate this whole past week. Its hard to control at times and I feel so guilty afterwards! Feel free to add me if you'd like.0

So similar to what happened to me. Dieting can definitely lead to binge eating. If you're not eating enough, your brain thinks you're starving so it urges you to eat large amounts of food. I would suggest that you stop dieting until the bingeing stops. I just started doing a video series where I'll be talking about binge eating and giving insights and tips to stop doing it. I posted the first one yesterday, it's my story in a nutshell. If you're interested in checking it out, the link is bit.ly/bingeeatingtidbits1
