Would this be the right way to lose 2lbs per week?

If I worked out 5 times a week and lost 300-400 calories when exercising. Then consumed 1,500 calories a day. Would I still lose 2lbs?

That depends totally on your TDEE.5

That depends on what your current weight and height is, how big your calorie deficit actually is, and how much you have to lose. If you are significantly overweight then yes, most likely it will work. If you're under 200 pounds and not under 5'0", then no. Netting 1200 calories doesn't necessarily automatically mean that you'll lose 2 lbs a week. That's just the minimum amount MFP gives for women.3

+1 to the above, plus it would depend on how accurate your exercise calorie numbers are. Mfp and machines are notorious over-estimaters.0

What is your height and weight and current level of activity? Would that plus 300-400 calories give you a TDEE of 2500?
If you currently workout 3 times a week then you may be able to commit to this, if you're going from a standing start you will most likely crash and burn
How would you measure calorie burn while exercising and what kind of workouts are you planning?
How would you monitor calorie intake?
How much do you have to lose? Is 2lbs a week more than 1% your current bodyweight ?0
