Snarky personal attacks here

I'm not new to MFP, but I am new to this Community forum. It seems this venue is not free of nastiness at all, it also isn't moderated with civility in mind. I posted an issue and got lots if flack more than merely 'implying' I was at fault. I can do without that, especially since responses to my concern came from other users, whom I think are uninformed, rather than forum moderators.

    It's the Internet

Either rise above it and take what you want

Stop and consider what other people have to say as many here know an awful lot..and there are many different ways to get your CICO working for you

    Or don't post

But if you think everyone has to deal with you in a set series of responses you don't understand how an international community works I'm afraid

By the way this is the millionty-third mean people thread I've seen since I've been here, the best are the ones who make a success of it and achieve their goals and start a thread to thank all the "mean" people, without whom they would have continued to yo-yo

And do not hold the moderators up as experts on health and fitness... They are merely users who have policing powers...they have no additional knowledge or experience, and a couple of them are, IMO, seriously open to question in their knowledge base

I'm closing this now because this topic definitely isn't going to go anywhere resembling civility. :) I can assure you that we do moderate the community, however we are all volunteers with jobs and families, and cannot be on the site 24 hours a day. The best way to alert us to content of concern is to use the Flag>Report feature at the bottom of the comment you would like to report, and we will review the content. You can read up on a full explanation of how to report content here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10007789/flagged-content-reported-posts-warning-points#latest

If there is a particular user whose comments you no longer wish to see, you can click on their user name and select Ignore, and that will hide their content from view.
