Exercise calories...

So I usually get in 4000-5000 steps just walking at work, like getting the mail etc...but it is just a desk job. So Fitbit gives me calories burned... Say 400(just guessing as I'm typing here and can't go look)...I don't feel justified in eating back those calories as it wasn't a heart pumping workout. I do however come home and walk on my treadmill 30-45minutes with various inclines and speeds. So question is if I'm set up on MFP to eat back calories would I just eat back the ones from actual exercise and not the calories earned just from steps?

I would say do what you feel most comfortable with and if it works, then you're on the right path. I, personally, do not log steps and I only eat back 50% of my calories burned just to err on the side of overestimating burns.

I let fitbit sync and eat back 90% of the adjustment (which includes my daily steps). Just because it's not a workout, doesn't mean you didn't burn the calories doing it, and MFP adjusts for your daily activity level. Still losing at my planned rate.
