Hungry on lifting days

Ok, I get why MFP doesn't calculate calories burned for strength exercises, I think, but I'm running into an issue where I'm just starving on the days I lift. I eat back at least half, if not all, of my calories on the days I do cardio because I honestly need to, but I think I need to eat a few more on my lifting days too. What's the best way to do this?

Eat back half the calories making sure they are coming from lean protein (chicken, fish, low fat cheese, low fat/plain greek yogurt), fruit, and vegetables. Drink lots of water to help you feel full. Weigh yourself in a few weeks. If you aren't seeing the progress you want, eat back less. If you are, continue with what you are doing.
I run into the same problem. My lifting sessions where over an hour at high intensities (60-80% 1 rep max, snatches, deadlifts, squats, clean and jerks). The next day I am so hungry. I just gave up and started eating until I am full, logging all my calories. Some days I do 3,000 calories after a lifting session. But my weight is between 141-146 pounds (I am 5'6'') so my BMI is within healthy, my waist is 28 inches, plus by body fat is between 19-21% so for a female that is pretty good. So I don't worry too much.0 -
You log strength exercises under cardio in order to get a calorie burn. The strength section is just for logging your reps and such, not for calorie burns. Stupid set up, I know.1

Oh dang, I didn't even realize there was a weight lifting entry under cardiovascular.
I'm only on day five of logging and so far am down 3 lbs, (167 to 164 and I am 5'2") but my understanding is that it's kind of normal to lose more at first, so it's hard to say if I really need to be eating more or not. I have also been lifting heavy for a year and a half. I don't know my bf% but my waist is 31 inches right now. My daughter is the same height and weighs less than ne, but wears two sizes bigger. So it's probably safe to say I have a fair amount of lean muscle mass.1 -
I took a pic a few minutes ago and posted it as a profile pic. Idk, my current BMI is 30, but I don't feel like that is quite "accurate" for me. I certainly have some extra fat, hence trying to lose some weight, but it doesn't look like a whole lot to me.0
