Newbie here - first week of the rest of my life

Hi everyone

I'm new here, trying to learn the ropes so to say. I'm about to turn 45 and need to lose 50-60 pounds. I have enrolled in a 10 week challenge class at Max Fitness in McKinney TX and am going to use this site to log my food and exercise. I had the first class last night and it was a challenge but I made it through only slightly worse for wear. My main problem today has been tightness in the muscles on the back of my lower leg. Doing a bit of a Frankenstein walk. Hopefully I can stretch it out enough to make it through class tonight.


I'm looking at buying an exercise tracking band and integrating that into my routine as well. Looking forward to reading some of the threads here and staying motivated.
