Im sick of the comments about what I'm eating when people know I'm trying to lose weight. I haven't told anybody about my attempts this time around. Has anybody found this to be more helpful in the long run?

I'm in a fitness group, so when I don't want a certain high calorie/greasy meal, I simply tell them, "I have Hogwarts" and they let it go. (Yes it's a Harry Potter fitness club....I'm a dork)
My family and friends know im competitive, so they immediately let me eat whatever I want. It's also helped my parents WANT to be healthier when they see how much I've changed.
However, I hate at work when someone brings in ice cream and I told them I didn't want any for my diet. They always poke me and say "you don't need to diet, look at you."
They don't seem to understand that I look this way BECAUSE I watch what I eat.
Main thing: turn the other cheek.1 -
I never told anyone outside the home. I found it took the pressure off of me. No one commented on my food or asked how I was doing. I just did what I had to do.
When people offer food, politely say "no thank you" in some way: "no thank you, I've just had a large lunch", for example. Then smile and continue your day.
If someone says something along the lines of "is that all you're eating?", just smile and say, "I had a large breakfast" or "I had a snack earlier" or something. Then continue your day.
The key is to stay focussed on your goals. No one else needs to know. They won't comment or see what's happening if they haven't been told.3 -
Thank you. I don't think ill say anything. I just don't need the pressure. I kinda want people to notice the changes on their own. That might be something new to work for.0
