Help! 30 days in and 12 lbs lighter but I have a question that is bothering my OCD...does the water in my coffee and tea countable towards my daily "suggested" take? If so, what about the ice in the tea? (toldya I was OCD)...so if I drink typically 2- 8oz cups of coffee for breakfast and two more at lunch...and add that to the 32 oz of unsweetened iced tea, and another two 8 oz glasses of go old H2O (with my meds), so how much water do I log? Anyone out there? Please HELP my OCD!

I drink a lot of tea everyday, around 3L. But i have noticed that when i skip drinking plain water alongside it i develop water retention (swollen ankles, sock indents, rings get tighter) and the scale slows way down. They say tea/coffee etc counts the same as plain water, but in my experience it does not.

    Eyes on your own plate.
Don't worry about what others are logging or not logging. That's their business. Maybe some only drink water so there's nothing else to log. Maybe some don't care about having an accurate log. Either way, you do you and let them do them.

Isn't that kinda the point of having a diary that's open and being on this site with a diary that's open?

I dunno. I don't log, generally, and I don't have an open diary, but this seems an interesting comment on this site, of all sites.

If I were logging, I'd only log things with more than 20-50 calories. And even then only if I was going to have more than one.
But, meh, I'd never log raw veggies either.

    I log beverages with calories.

I really urge people who add cream/sugar to tea and coffee to log that. because damn, it adds up, when you're honest about counting each cup.

I think most people who do that do log it.
