Day off

So I decided to take the day off from the gym, since I went Monday and yesterday and am going tomorrow and Friday. I felt my muscles needed rest but after stretching I feel better. Now I feel antsy because I am not going.

Is a day off a good idea?

Yes, a day off is a good idea. If you're antsy, take a walk?

It feels wrong to me to have a rest day, but when I looked at my calendar I hadn't had a complete rest day in 2 month. I've either walked or done strength training or both. Even though today I did no exercise I still couldn't sit doing nothing, I was moving furniture around and cleaning, probably burnt the same amount of calories too. I do feel better for it I don't have any muscle soreness or pain, so yes I'd say it's beneficial.
