  • I have been looking for something like this, i have recently started walking, i am 70 have arthritis and heart problems, i had difficulty walking as far as a local shop 10 mins away and have now progressed from a 10 minute walk to 60min each day over 4 weeks , with a couple of longer ones thrown in extra when the mood takes me, and i feel exhilarated. i have even bought a fitbug to give me an idea how many steps i am taking, i am going for 10,000 a day but hope to up that,

    September 4: 2,550 steps | .93 miles -- Sunday, 'nuff said.

    June - August Totals: 612,213 steps | 223.09 miles | Average: 6,654 spd | 2.42 mpd | 10k steps: 9x per month

    I'm taking an imaginary Walk Across Texas: 857 miles down I-10, from the Louisiana border to El Paso. Since June 1st, I have walked 235.23 miles. Next stop: Buc-ee's!!! in Luling, TX (mile 256).

    I'm in. My goal is simply to walk. I had brain surgery in 2014 and have dizziness everyday so any amount of walking is great!! Thank you so much for this challenge!! Erin
