An app like the Traditional Oven website?

I don't like measuring with tablespoons or cups, even when it's food I make for someone else. It's just wrong.

Unfortunately, most websitea post recipes with them. I use Traditional Oven to convert measurements, but are there any apps that do it to make thinga a little easier? MFP keeps some solid foods with volume measurements because they're silly.

I do find it a bit silly myself, especially in baking where inaccurate measurements can really mess up the end product. I find myself frequenting recipe websites from the UK so I don't have to convert everything over. I'm not sure what Traditional Oven is, but cookingforengineers.com has an automatic recipe converter for their recipes (although the original recipes are also given in cups and tablespoons).

As for me, I cook and bake so often that I've found it easier to just memorize the conversions of a lot of the more common ingredients. I have a Word document with tables for various ingredients, so I just refer to that when I can't remember a particular conversion.

Traditional Oven has calculators for a lot of different ingredients. Cookingforengineers isn't loading for me, but I'll give it a look later! I love bloggers or websites that provide both.

Ahhh, I'll probably pick up a ittle notebook and and write down grams in a cup, table and teaspoon of various ingredients.

I can email you my Word table, if you like. :) Otherwise, you can usually find similar tables online in picture format that you can just save and print! I had one before, if I can find it in my files I'll post it here for you. :)

Couldn't find it, but this is the chart that I had: http://www.sweet2eatbaking.com/uk-us-conversion/

It's only for baking, though. I've never found/needed a similar chart for cooking.
