What activity level would you put 10,000 steps per day?

I'm considering no longer synching my fitness band to MFP and then just using it to make sure I'm still getting my 10,000 steps per day, and then just logging extra exercise and eating back half of those. What level should I set MFP at with getting 10,000 steps a day? I do have a sedentary job but if I'm still getting the 10,000 steps, should I set it for maybe lightly active?

Thanks!

I do 10-12k a day and set to lightly active although technically it should be moderate.

Yeah, I usually get anywhere between 10,000 and 13,000 a day but I have one rest day that I only get about 5,000 so I just average it to 10,000.

    Thanks for the response!

If plan to eat back exercise, sedentary + eat back exercise to NET your calorie GOAL. If you need to eat back more than 1/2 after evaluating your rate of loss you can up the % you eat back.
