I recently started working out after being out of the gym for months. I noticed that my knees, elbows and low back make a cracking sound. My trainer says its normal due to air pockets in the joint. He also says that if I have no pain then not to worry. Has or does anyone experience this with their joints. If so is there something that I can do to make the sound stop. I freakout every time I hear it.

knees cracking without pain generally isn't a problem. you can minimize it by making sure you are properly warmed up. I dont know much about elbows cracking, that doesn't sound right, and i'd be really concerned if my back was making cracking sounds. Trust your own intuition and don't do something if it doens't feel right.1
