Snatching question

Ive been incorporating light weight snatching into my routines to generate a good fast heart rate and I'm doing low weight for form development. I noticed my thumbs and knees have felt like they have to pop after this workout. I'm utilizing a hook grip and athletic tape around my thumbs... Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I should add as well I do knee stretching exercises throughout to try to alleviate the feeling but it still comes up.0
