Don't eliminate soda all at once: slowly start drinking less. Limit your sodas to maybe once a day? And switch your sodas to maybe flavored seltzer water(carbonated)/tea/water. Some people may say you don't need to eliminate soda completely. I agree: as long as you drink it in moderation, all is good. However, if you want to eliminate it "completely" slowly replace it with other alternatives. Good luck! :)

Coming from someone who personally hasn't had a soda i 794 days.

If you goal is weight loss, slimming down, becoming fitter. There is nothing wrong with 0 Cal carbonated drinks. They don't add to your caloric intake so you need to ask yourself. Why, do you want to cut Diet Soda out? You need to answer that first.

Why do you want to quit drinking soda?

When I have a goal, I find it helps me to focus on the reasons behind it. "Quit drinking soda" isn't really a motivating goal, so figure out *why* you want to stop and that may help motivate you.

This. What is your reason for quitting soda? It's not bad for you and won't cause weight gain. But for some it can cause headaches which is a good reason to avoid it. If soda is actually no problem for you, then you really quit it. :)

Why? I drink a couple every day and love them along with my other favorite no-calorie beverage, coffee. Now beer, I can see why someone would want to stop drinking beer. I mean, I don't and I won't, but I can understand why.

I gave up soda completely because it makes me painfully bloated and frankly the unnaturalness of it has disturbed me more and more the older I get. Call me boring but I got over it by drinking water infused with fruit and cucumber. At first it was a bit grim but now I can't live life without 2 litres a day of water. Also, when I drink soda now it just taste plain weird. But I'm a bit boring on the drink front, I literally just drink water, tea or coffee. I'm sure someone else can give you a more exciting alternative :-)
