GNC Total Lean

Hello there, I'm just beginning my weight loss journey after slowly gaining about 60lbs over the few years that I nearly noticed. I know sounds horrible but it crept up on me. I honestly didn't notice to much until I went to shop for a wedding dress and seen myself in the mirror. The dress was beautiful, myself I didn't feel the same about. Anyway, I'm posting since I'm trying to get reviews or opinions on the gnc total lean shakes. I'm not a breakfast person and even when I did I usually make some form of smoothie that I can drink on the drive. Has anyone used this for weight loss or as a supplement to get extra protein?

It's always best to get your nutrition through food, unless you prefer shakes, that is; and if you have a normal diet (which you should have anyway), you're most likely getting enough protein. There's nothing special with any of the shakes. You don't have to eat breakfast if you don't want to. And "weight loss aids" do not exist.1

first, don't feel too bad about the weight "sneaking" up on you. It has happened to a lot.
second, I looked up the shakes and I'm not a fan. they look extremely expensive for what you are getting.
Don't look for "fast" or "easy" weight loss. You spent years putting it on, so it's going to take time to take it back off. If you like shakes for breakfast, then find some healthy ingredients you can throw into a blender to make your own shakes. It will be healthier and cheaper. Spend some time and research the nutritional breakdown of the foods you want to eat and figure out how much of it you can have while staying in a healthy caloric range. Try to get some exercise 5 days a week. You don't have to go pump iron in gym or run a marathon, just go walking and working increasing the distance and speed over time. Don't eat until you are full, by then you've probably eaten too much. DO NOT starve yourself, you will do more damage than good. You may feel starved at times, but as long as you are eating enough, just try to ignore it (easier said than done). Going along with the last thought, use MFP here to figure out how much you should be eating for a healthy rate of loss and DO NOT cheat in recording your foods and drinks. You're only cheating your own health.
One last thought.... if you mess up and eat junk one day, just be determined not to let it happen again and get right back on the plan. Don't give up because you aren't losing as fast as you hoped, or your weight seems stalled. Keep it up and the weight will come off.
Dang, that went a little more than what you asked.1
