Is anybody on this many cals? I'm 5.5 about 13.10 stone and a woman. I don't want to go too low as I was planning on lowering as I gradually lose weight. But just wondered if others was on this amount? Thanx

Are you losing at a steady rate too?1 -
I lost 80 pounds eating 1650-1700 (not eating back exercise calories). 5'5", was 34 at the time.1

We'll done!! Are u finding it easy enough?0 -
Gets easier as you go. Weighing my food becomes habit. The only thing I find "difficult" is not losing for a couple weeks, then whoosh, down 3 to 4 pounds. I just realize that this is the way my body works and don't freak out during those few weeks of stagnation.2

Um I'm 38, female, 5'5" and 135 pounds and my maintenance is 2200. Surely you're not talking maintenance calories?0 -
5'4", about 13 stone and net 1900 calories to lose just under a pound a week.1

I am having a hard time trying to figure out how any of us can point directly at anyone's calories and say "yes that is emphatically is the right calories you need to lose weight".
Every single human on the planet has a different caloric need, based on all the varying factors such as height, current weight, AGE, activity factor and exercise factor, how fast or slow you want to lose weight.
OP I see in your post, you plan to go lower. This will automatically need to be changed (your MFP's calorie goals will need to be updated at each 10 pounds you lose), so naturally this is going to go lower as you lose weight (get smaller in weight).1 -

Yes. MFP tells me 1670 cals/day to lose 1 pound/week. In one month of counting, I lost 10 pounds. (Some of that is water weight. Some is likely because I think my activity level is underestimated. If I lose as much in the second month, I'll go up to "moderately active".) I'm almost 5'4 and started at 190 lbs - almost exactly the same stats as you.1
