I've heard that Carbonated flavored water actually makes you gain weight due to the carbonation. Is that true? I'm trying to get my water intake up and can't stand plain water. I'm also trying to lose weight. Any imput is greatly appreciated.

I have never ever heard that. And no, it doesn't. Gas has no calories.3

I never heard of that, I love Poland spring carbonated water.0

I drink flavored carbonated water quite often. If this was true, I'd still be around 325 pounds right now [currently 298]. The only way it could cause any kind of weight gain is through water weight, and even plain water does that.
I'm partial to Sparkling ICE and the Kroger brand sparkling waters myself.0 -
Carbon dioxide is lighter than water so theoretically you are lighter for drinking it.0

I still drink a 12 oz Diet Dr Pepper for breakfast, ice tea with lunch and dinner but the rest of the day I drink ice water with lemon juice. It's just right for me.0

How in the world would bubbles make you gain weight???? That doesn't even make sense. People come up with the most ridiculous things. Enjoy your bubbly water - I am enjoying mine right now! Cheers!1

Yeah that doesn't make sense. It might bloat some people but how would a bubble cause you to gain weight? Think about it.0
