Food Weighing Question

With certain foods, there are no MFP entries that allow me to enter a weight in grams.
For example, this morning I weighed out some frozen cherries to add to steel cut oats, but the only units I could find were cups, etc.
What I did was look on the bag and see that 1 cup is supposed to be 140g. Then I took the weight that I got on my scale (200g) and calculated my fraction of a serving for the extra 60g (0.42857...) and logged it as 1.43 cups.
Is there a better way to do this? Maybe with time I'll get faster at weighing, but this seems like kind of a pain and requires me to have a calculator.
Not that big of a deal, of course, but I just wanted to make sure that I'm not missing something obvious about logging foods in the database with no grams.

Probably the best solution is to create your own entry by weight to use. The majority of the database is user created, and not everyone is keen on weighing their food so you'll often see cups or pieces. At least this one wasn't doctored up by MFP with liquid measurements!2

You can also add gram to your search to find entries that have gram servings. Doesn't always work out, I have one thing which has a serving size of 63g and when searching I did find one that had the 63g as a serving. But unfortunately it did not have a 1g option so I still had to do the math to put in my 70g serving.0

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm not alone in hunting for the gram entries in the database, so I feel better. I haven't ever created my own entry, so I will think about trying that out for foods that I use a lot and get annoyed about having to do math for!0

You might see cups as the first measurement, but many of them have a range of different numbers if you click on the "cups" entry, and often you will find grams. If not, you'll have to look for another entry.0

I'm usually lazy and do it the way you do it... just do the math and use the cup entries.
Or you can modify the entries in the database and add grams in the end in parenthesis.. I *think* it's usually enough for the gram option to appear.0
