Week 3 on MFP

Hello!! This is my third week on MFP, so I wanted to briefly say hello.
My goal is to safely lose weight (lots!), and get back in shape, while improving my health in the process. I'm over 50, and the scale makes sure I won't forget!
But I definitely do not want to fall into the camp of unfit 50s +. There is just so much life to live once your kids are grown. In my case, I also left an unhappy marriage behind. The journey of defining myself (again) isn't always easy or pleasant, but seeing and feeling results and positive changes are ultimately the best motivator to stay on track.
I am here to hold myself accountable, and because MFP is just a fun tool to track results. There is a lot of motivation dispersed throughout the forum, and I am looking forward to jumping right in, to pick the brains of you wise ones.
