Start small, set a goal of maybe 5lbs, work towards it and then push it out and build on your sucess, it would really be up to you, but sometimes when you look at it, 30lbs can be a lot, but 5 is a lot more manageable0

Hi, Aiming for 1 to 1.5 lbs a week is realistic and healthy if you have 30lbs to shed. So, you are looking at losing 4 to 6lbs a month which is reasonable. You will see how it goes week to week as you stick to your calorie limits and if you add exercise as well. Don't be discouraged if the lbs. don't come off right away. You will see as you go along if you need to make adjustments to your daily routine. Remember, slow and steady wins the race! Good luck!0

all great advice...
my greatest "goal" was figuring out the whys...
Once I realized how I gained all the weight and what it would take to get it off and keep it off, I was goal-ready.
Yoga is a constant help...it helps me focus and the rest has the opportunity to find its place.
Remember...this is a life-long endeavor:flowerforyou:0 -

baby steps
I joined Weight Watchers years ago and it was fabulous with helping me set my goals. It had me start with a 10% goal (meaning lose 10% of my total body weight first). From there you set your goal weight.
Good luck! Set goals, write them down and hold yourself accountable!0 -
