I wanted to ask, what rep range is best for last mass, I was thinking of trying 5 sets of 5, will that build more strength than size?

What is your history? Current weight, age, height, and lifting experience?
If you are a novice, programs like Strong Lifts, ICF3x5 or 5x5, or Starting Strength are all fantastic leg builders - they have you squatting 3 times a week, with the weight increasing by 5lbs each session. In a month, your squat will increase by +60lbs for 3sets of 5reps, in 3 months that's +180lbs. Just be sure to start with a low weight... It gets challenging quickly enough.
And to answer your question, strength and size go hand in hand. The best lifters will have strength exercises and hypertrophy exercises. If you are a novice, just do 5x5, and then decrease to 3x5 when you 5x5 becomes too much. Those rep ranges build excellent strength and size.
Deadlift on the other hand is just 1 set at 5 reps until you become intermediate (these build excellent hamstrings)1 -
