Which weeks are the hardest?

Hey guys! I'm a new MFP user and I have a question for you all, especially those that have lost probably 20 or 30+ lbs. Which weeks were the hardest for you? I just finished 10 days of consistent logging/exercising and thus far I'm feeling really good. I've lost two lbs and am excited to see myself getting thinner and thinner. The problem is that I have always worked out on a regular basis and have gone through periods of trying to eat healthier. I stick with it for a week or two, think I've got a hold of my eating, then give up. OR I don't lose anything (especially due to a previously undiagnosed health condition) and give up. This time I feel good NOW but I'm afraid that I'm going to quit down the road and gain it all back. With every healthy choice I make I can't help but think that this is temporary and I'll give up again like I've given up before.
So back to my question - would you say it's the first few weeks it's the easiest, and it gets harder? Or does it get easier and "old hat" once you've been doing it a while? For those that have yo-yo'd with previous dieting, at what point were you able to truly commit and KNOW that you weren't going to give up again?
BTW - like I said, I'm new, and always looking for friends!

I think its been a bit of a mix, overall the cravings got less and the workouts got more easier but weeks with lots of social functions like birthday parties or get togethers are harder. Weeks with stress and something sad/bad happening are harder.0

I would say anything that breaks up the normal routine of life.
Vacation times or the holidays are not easy for me0 -

New also I have been keeping up with my tracking food, activities since June 27th and have lost 11 lbs I have challenged myself to different things and when I feel I am going to give up I change it up. My workout routine all the way to my food. I have always been a yo yo dieter and have tried several things but my determination came this time to not give up and I have lasted longer than normal I am pushing thru no matter what I am only 37 and have had a heart attack already and still has blockage with 2 kids 5 & 7 I want to be healthier and life longer for them! Hope your progress takes you all the way this time. Just make it fun!0

My motivation came from a health concern ( severe acid reflux which I think was my body's way of saying: Stop eating so much crap! ). For me it was hardest in the beginning, trying to eat healthier foods, eating less, exercising. I started off just eating healthier, didn't matter how much I ate, just ate healthy, then I started to count calories and cut back some of what I was eating and ate smaller meals spread out throughout the day. After my food diet was coming along good I added exercise, now that I'm a little more than halfway done It feels easier to me, I can't imagine stopping or falling off the wagon and eating bad because it's not just a diet for me it's a way of life now, I've changed and you couldn't put a gun to my head to make me eat all the stuff I used to. I look forward to exercising everyday, I work out very intensely, I sweat and I get it done, it's a source of pride and accomplishment that makes me feel better than anything I ever ate or watched on Netflix while doing so. Last week I went to a family gathering at our local pizza place and I had a half a slice of Veggie pizza, that's how strong my will is now but before I could eat an entire pizza myself not kidding. To answer your question I think everyone is different but for me about half way through I knew that this was how it was going to be from now on and I wasn't afraid I'd turn into the old me anymore, I'm in it for life, even once I reach my target goal I'm going to maintain my weight and still exercise, find more exercise goals to achieve!
The best advice I can offer is don't think of this as a diet or temporary think of it as a life change and make it happen! You'll thank yourself later!0 -
The weeks where the scale wouldn't move and losing the last 10 pounds for me. The first 20 were easy in comparison.0
